M. Vernon STARNES 90 of Rt. 2 Brownsburg died Wed afternoon in Golden Manor
Nursing home, Ladoga. He had farmed most of his life in Montgomery Co. Born Dec
31, 1894 near Wallace, he was a son of Jacob and Mary McGinnis Starnes. He was
married to Elsie Hardee in 1912 (note their marriage in Bk 21 Montgomery Co IN
17 June 1916); she is deceased (28 Jan 1952). Surviving are 4 sons: Mont J;
Calvin; Bob; Harold; six daughters, Eileen Smith; Margaret Campbell; Lora
Ferris; Mary Miller; Betty Wing and Donna Pappas; several grandchildren, greats
and great greats. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home
with Rev. Duane Clark officiating. Burial in Indiana Creek Hill Cemetery.
